The first crucial step in your expansion or renovation projects is the design of your architectural plans, certified by a building technologist in collaboration with architectural technicians, to request your renovation permit from your municipality with complete confidence.
The building technologist can participate in various commercial or industrial projects depending on the type of building, while respecting the rule of 3,200 square feet and less which applies in this regard.

This service also includes:
Measurement carried out by hand or with a 360 degree high definition camera;
Design your 2D and 3D plans, including current, preliminary and final plans;
Carry out load calculations, which involve the movement of beams and posts and any structural changes within the property;
If necessary, we prepare an end of expansion project report detailing the compliance work.
Permit Application
Whether you are transforming your house, adding a floor, garage or accommodation, extending or making changes to the partitions, divisions or load-bearing walls of your property, you will need a permit to build.
It is for your safety and that of your neighbors that the municipality regulates building permits, ensuring that your renovation work meets the minimum standards of the Building Code. In addition, the municipality can ensure the conformity of the work to be carried out, according to your zoning by-law.
When your plans and specifications meet the conditions set by your municipality, a building permit is issued upon submission of your application. Allow up to 2 months, including adjustments and modifications to your plans, as required by their specific standards.
During construction work, it is important to display this authorization clearly on your site, as municipal inspectors may visit at any time to ensure that the work is carried out in accordance with the plans provided.
